Course Description
The BSc Mathematics/Business and Management at Aberystwyth University will allow you to explore mathematics, statistics, economics and psychology within a management context. You’ll develop knowledge, competences and understanding of how your mathematical and statistical skills can be applied to improve business objectives. Throughout the course, you’ll incrementally build up the skills required for a successful career in business. Our degree in Mathematics/Business and Management will allow you to understand the synergies between quantitative techniques and the application of management, providing you with an edge in understanding the mathematical representation of business situations and the evaluation of evidence within complex organisational systems. You’ll develop advanced knowledge of the major branches of mathematics and management, studying topics as diverse as business ethics and computational mathematics.
Within Mathematics you will learn the essential disciplines of algebra, calculus and mathematical analysis, while the Business and Management element of this course will enable you to discover areas of strategy, marketing, operations management, finance, accounting, human resource management and entrepreneurship - in addition to a range of other cutting-edge and specialist modules.
