Course Description
Aerospace Engineering is at the cutting edge of technology, applying scientific principles to the design, development and service of some of the most technologically advanced engineering products in the world. Aerospace engineers are responsible for not only the development of commercial aeroplanes and helicopters, but also spacecraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Aerospace engineers work in multidisciplinary environments, designing and supporting vehicles which operate in extreme settings. With the ability to succeed in such diverse and challenging situations, aerospace engineers are naturally versatile, opening up a wide range of career opportunities, and our graduates can be found in leading private and public sector companies worldwide. A minimum of DDM with the main subjects being Science or Maths. Also required: GCSE at C or above in English or English Language, Mathematics and in either Chemistry, or Physics or Dual Award Science.

31-30 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects.

GCSE Mathematics at grade C/4 or better. Scottish National 5 Mathematics at grade C or better. In all cases where Physics is not offered at A-level or at Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher, applicants must have a minimum of grade C/4 in GCSE Physics/grades CC/44 in Double Award Science (not Applied), or grade C in National 5 Physics.
