1. Course summary

Advance your clinical, therapeutic and reflective skills to develop services and enable service users.

Aimed at qualified physiotherapists, this course gives you a balance of practical and academic skills, ensuring an authentic experience and the opportunity to develop knowledge that is directly transferable to your practice. You will improve your employment prospects and clinical skills, enabling you to lead clinical teams or work in teaching or research.
2. How you learn (Full time/Part time) All modules focus on elements of clinical practice, and we encourage you to apply your learning to the setting in which you work or wish to specialise. Assessments are designed to replicate challenges you may face within the workplace. You learn from enthusiastic tutors who are experienced physiotherapists.

If you join our distance learning route, all modules will be delivered online with no requirement to travel to Sheffield for any aspect of the course. If you prefer to have the option of studying some modules face-to-face, you can apply for our part-time route. Note that the part-time route is only available to students who can study in the UK without requiring a Tier 4 visa.

Applied learning Work placements

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

Founded in 1969, Sheffield Hallam University is located in the city of Sheffield, in the Yorkshire and the Humber region of England.
