Course Description

The MSc comprises five course units and a dissertation (180 credits). It runs from October 2020 to September 2022:

  • Research Methods [15 credits]

  • Fundamentals in Restorative Dentistry [30 credits]

  • Issues in patient management [30 credits]

  • Operative Dentistry [15 credits]

  • Complex Treatment [30 credits]

  • Dissertation [60 credits]

The PGDip comprises five course units (120 credits) and runs from October 2020 to January 2022:

  • Research Methods [15 credits]

  • Fundamentals in Restorative Dentistry [30 credits]

  • Issues in patient management [30 credits]

  • Operative Dentistry [15 credits]

  • Complex Treatment [30 credits]

Students who wish to continue to an MSc on successful completion of the mandatory PGDip course units [120 credits] must complete:

  • Dissertation [60 credits]

The PGCert comprises 2 course units (60 credits) and runs from January to June 2021:

  • Fundamentals in Restorative Dentistry [30 credits]

  • Issues in patient management [30 credits].

Accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in order to progress to pharmacist pre-registration training and then to register as a pharmacist. Please note, the 5-year integrated MPharm degree programme includes pre-registration training.
