Course Description

This course will equip you with advanced skills in critical thinking and analysis by working closely on focused projects drawn from any area of English Literature. There are modules on a wide range of periods and genres. Taught elements of the course cover the critical, theoretical and methodological means to understand texts to an advanced level, creating an understanding of the cultural forms that tell us who we are. The programme explores up-to-date and innovative research skills so you can flourish and become a confident, independent thinker and learner, in preparation for an increasingly competitive market place for jobs or academia. Transferable skills such as the ability to analyse issues thoroughly and communicate well are excellent for future career prospects. They also provide a strong foundation for further academic study.

About The University of Winchester
