Course Description

MA Education is a flexible programme for those who want to extend their knowledge and understanding of current educational practices, contemporary matters of debate in the educational world and key issues related to educational practice.

The emphasis throughout the MA programme is on developing your independent critical thinking and problem solving. Using an inquiry-based approach, the programme is designed to give you scope to examine in detail topics that are of particular interest to you.

MA Education can be studied over one year full-time, or two years part-time. It helps teachers to develop the educational understanding, analytical skills and leadership qualities necessary to improve pupil development and achievement in schools.

This programme provides you with the opportunity to learn more about curriculum, school management and leadership, as well as information technology and research methods.

MA Education is also appropriate for international students who would like to broaden their knowledge and understanding of different aspects of educational theory and practice.
