Course Description
Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. The programme enables you to analyse the economic behaviour of households, businesses and governments and their interactions in markets. At the same time, you will learn the mathematical skills that complement economic theories from a more analytical perspective.
In economics, you will study economic behaviour associated with a range of settings such as households, businesses and governments. Topics may also include the functioning of markets and the effects of fiscal and monetary policies. In mathematics, you will deepen your understanding of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.
These constituent disciplines complement each other in providing better insight about economic theories from a more advanced mathematical angle. You will graduate with a range of skills and capabilities, both subject-related and more general, lifelong skills, such as analytical ability, critical thinking and advanced quantitative skills.
You may also have the opportunity to take a placement, between years two and three of your studies, so you can apply theories and concepts to real world organisations (visa restrictions apply).

Qualification requirements
Including a relevant subject/science @ C or above (80 UCAS tariff points)
Access to HE Diploma
31-30 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

Established in 1949, Keele University is located in the rural setting of the large town of Newcastle under Lyme. The university’s facilities are all within walking distance from the centre of campus, including Union Square where students can find a Pharmacy, the Library, and even a student Post Office.
