Electronics is all about the components and software that comprise of electronic systems. Electrical engineering deals with the generation, distribution and use of electricity for everything from cars to cities. This degree combines our expertise in both disciplines.
Our new home for engineering
In Autumn 2022, we open our new £65 million hub for science, engineering and the environment - and our new home for engineering. Sustainability-designed and 100% electric powered, the building offers unrivalled teaching, learning and research facilities and provides exciting new spaces for industry collaboration.
Our Electric and Electronic Engineering degree is taught by internationally-recognised engineers and researchers, who will shape you for an exciting career in electronic design and consultancy. Across three years - or four if you add an industrial placement - you'll learn about subjects like green power generation and intelligent automobiles. Learn from researchers who will share their passion for their areas of expertise. This includes machines and drives, sustainable energy and machine learning.
