Course Description

The top-up MBA is an online course aimed at students who have already gained a Post Graduate Diploma in a Business/ Management subject and are seeking to top this qualification up to an MBA. This course can be completed within 12 months. Because the course is fully online, students can engage with the material when they wish and manage their learning around other commitments.

The MBA is globally recognised as the leading management qualification for senior managers and executives. Completing an MBA is a transformative experience, where students will learn how to engage with the leading edge of management research and apply it in their own practice. By joining the USW top-up MBA you will join a global online community of business leaders. Here you will find support, encouragement and a network which will last long after the completion of the course.

As this is a top-up course, it is only a 60-credit course and course comprises of two modules. First, students will complete a 20-credit Research Methods module which will explore how to acquire knowledge in a scientific and structured manner and equip students with the research skills to complete the final module, the Management Project. The Management Project is a 40-credit module where students get the opportunity to use their skills and knowledge to identify and research a contemporary management issue and make an original contribution to knowledge. The Management Project is an extended piece of writing at 12,000 words. Students are assigned a project supervisor to support them through this module.
