Course Description

The purpose of Youth Work and Social Education (ETS Certification) (PgDip, MA) programs is to equip students with the skills, knowledge and understanding to become effective and professionally qualified youth workers. The programs are professionally certified by ETS Cymru, offering a professional qualification in Youth Work. The programs vision is to create effective and reflective practitioners and leaders, and the program challenges students to grow more and more independent while identifying their own learning and development needs.

Entry Requirements / Admissions

Applicants will be required to provide a more detailed disclosure document satisfactory for the Children and Adults Workforce by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Applicants will normally be required to have an honors degree

Applicants with vocational qualifications and experience will also be considered.

As a result of the professional approval of the degree programme, applicants must have at least 200 hours of recent and relevant Youth Work experience.
