Rankings of Brown University

Brown University is one of the eight Ivy League schools and is based in Providence, Rhode Island. This privately funded, research-intensive institution is well known for its extremely selective acceptance rate. Brown owns several properties in Providence. The main College Hill campus with its 235 buildings is home to the bulk of their facilities, librairies, and student services. The Pembroke Campus once belonged to Brown’s sister institution, Pembroke College, and the East Campus was bought from Bryant University. Many of the buildings from these last two campuses have been repurposed as student dormitories. Adjacent to the main campus, is the historic Rhode Island School of Design which has an agreement with Brown, and together they offer dual degrees (bachelor’s and master’s) to a select number of students.
