De Montfort University, abbreviated as DMU, was founded in 1896 in the small city of Leicester, East Midlands. International students are well taken care of here. They receive orientation courses intended to provide advice and guidance on living in the UK, and free English language classes are provided to bring all new students up to speed.

Highest subject rankings for De Montfort University
Student Reviews for De Montfort University
- Student satisfaction:
- 4.2 (based on 1199 student reviews)
“The opportunities are extensive both academically and socially, thanks to the clubs that the Student Union runs, which are usually linked in some way to particular course subjects . I have enjoyed my time at DMU.”
“The campus has facilities of a high standard that actually makes you want to use them, the Kimberlin library for example, which is where I spent most of my hard study hours. I also spent a lot of time in the QEII Leisure Centre to get some exercise in between. The only thing I would ask to be improved is the level of support given by some teachers, as they didn’t seem to want to sit down with me for a feedback session when I asked for them.”
“Societies and clubs are varied and well-resourced. DMU’s diversity is one of the university’s strong points, and these clubs are the best way to start meeting different kinds of people straight away.”
