Golden Gate University, often abbreviated to GGU, is a nonprofit institution in San Francisco which provides undergraduate and graduate education mainly in the subject fields of Accounting, Law, Taxation, and Business. Working with more than 68,000 enrolled students, their main campus is situated in San Francisco, but they also have teaching sites in Seattle and Silicon Valley. As its main objective is to offer education for adults, most of its classes are in the evening, and the majority of the courses are available online.

- GGU markets itself mainly to busy adult learners, so that means its class timetables are flexible. Options include evenings, on the weekend, or online courses.
- Being located in San Francisco, there is plenty to do around the university, and there are also many public transport options near the campus.
- The university has excellent employment services which give guidance specific to your subject field, students highlight.
CONS
- The campus is small and students wish the library were better equipped, as currently there are limited study spaces and computers to use.
- Students complain that there is no parking on campus. For this reason most GGU students recommend taking the bike or public transport.
- There’s no nightlife scene, and it can be hard to meet other students due to a lot of GGU’s students being online learners.
