Rankings of McMaster University

McMaster University, known locally as Mac, is a prestigious, research-intensive, public institution of higher education with a student enrollment of approximately 32,000. The main campus is located in Westdale, a residential neighbourhood of Hamilton, Ontario, while the Health Campus is located in the downtown core, and the Business school is in nearby Burlington. The university also runs the McMaster Innovation Park, a research and innovation facility which supports business, start-ups and corporate partners, including some government departments. McMaster is home to Canada’s most powerful research-purposed nuclear reactor. Teaching at Mac follows a problem-based, student centred learning model and it has an excellent reputation for its research overall, but especially in Medicine & Health Sciences.
