The Medical University of South Carolina, often abbreviated to MUSC, is a government funded medical school in Charleston, South Carolina. The university is organised into 6 separate colleges, the colleges of: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Graduate Studies, Dental Medicine, and Health Professions. Their ten-story MUSC Health University Medical Center is a functioning infirmary created specifically for teaching purposes, and within it are the University Hospital, the Institute of Psychiatry, and the Children’s Hospital.
