St. John’s University is a private Catholic institution of higher education in Queens, New York City. The university was established in 1870 and arose out of the need for quality education for the ever-growing immigrant population. The university has two branch campuses in the New York region, one in Manhattan and the other in Staten Island. SJU also has three branch campuses in Europe, in Rome, Paris, and Limerick.
