Course Description

If you have no or very little prior English language teaching experience ( less than two years) then this course is ideal for you if you’re looking to become an English language teacher to speakers of other languages. The course will ensure that you gain valuable practical experience which will aid you when teaching English Language in a global environment. You’ll have the opportunity to take a one-year module on practical teaching which will involve you demonstrating a range of teaching methods in practical sessions, designing teaching materials, planning lessons and tests. You’ll be assessed by your ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical work.

Our teaching methods encourage active participation in group work, discussion and the exchange of ideas, with the aim of developing your critical and analytical skills. The profile of our course participants is international, including most recently Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland and the UK. Our graduates are now working as English language teaching professionals, teacher trainers, textbook writers or university lecturers throughout the world.
