The course

Our accelerated, graduate entry programme is the largest of its kind in the UK, providing first-class training facilities in local hospitals, early clinical experience and one-to-one supervision in clinical placements.

On graduating, you will receive your MB ChB (or equivalent) degree. This is a primary medical qualification (PMQ), which entitles you to provisional registration with the General Medical Council (subject to its acceptance that there are no Fitness to Practice concerns). Please note that we do not consider late applications or applications for deferred entry.

Additional fee information

In line with government policy decisions, Home undergraduate tuition fees for the 2024/25 academic year are £9,250.

For students who qualify for government-regulated fees (currently students classed as ‘Home’ for fees purposes), the University expects to increase fees in line with any inflationary uplift as determined by the UK Government, if permitted by law or government policy, in the second and subsequent years of your course.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
