Course Description

Mathematics underpins all modern science and technology, and mathematicians are in high demand across a variety of fields. With a BSc in Mathematics from York, you can develop valuable skills for careers ranging from finance and IT to weather forecasting and engineering. University maths is about studying patterns in numbers, geometry and many other abstract concepts. It's also about applying those concepts in practical problem solving.

Accreditation - This course is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its applications (IMA).

This programme will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught masters degrees.
