Why International Hospitality and Tourism Management?

Our International Hospitality and Tourism Management degree prepares you for a successful career as a manager in the global hospitality and tourism sectors. You’ll learn how to develop and manage outstanding customer experiences from industry-experienced staff. With the opportunity for field trips to tourist hot-spots including Gloucester Cathedral and Cheltenham Racecourse, as well as work placements with organisations such as Cosmos Holidays and Gullivers Sports Travel, our graduates stand out from the competition. You could even spend time overseas on international placements, for example at Sea Pines Resorts or Marriott Hotels in the USA (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details).

The course benefits from accreditation with the Institute of Hospitality and our membership of the Association for Events Management Education. Students can learn from hospitality and tourism practitioners in guest lectures and undertake extra accredited training in areas such as wine and spirits, first aid and health and safety. They can also take advantage of our on-campus business hub, The Growth Hub, to connect to leading business experts, undertake work shadowing and work on live business briefs.
