IBMS accreditation of the BSc Honours in Biomedical Science ensures that this degree meets the academic requirements for registration as a biomedical scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council which is essential if you wish to pursue a career in an NHS laboratory.

Two sciences, – Biology B or Chemistry B; Chemistry (if not at A Level) GCSE B; GCSE Maths 6/B, GCSE English Language 6/B or Literature 6/B.
Graded Unit B.
Chemistry, Biology/Human Biology. Advanced Higher Chemistry and Biology recommended for S6 study and to compensate for missed Higher grades.
Two science subjects (Chemistry/Biology/Physics) HL5; English SL5; Maths SL5.

Additional fee information
Most undergraduate students from the rest of the UK England, Wales and Northern Ireland will receive a free year of tuition as, assuming no change in Rest of UK fees policy over the period, the total amount payable by undergraduate students will be capped. For students commencing study next session, this is capped at £27,750 with the exception of the MPharm and Integrated Masters courses; MPharm students pay £9,250 for each of the four years. Students studying on Integrated Masters degree programmes pay an additional £9,250 for the Masters year with the exception of those undertaking a full-year industrial placement where a separate placement fee will apply.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
