Advocacy empowers individuals to act independently, to champion rights, to become the voice of the community and to promote an inclusive society as part of their professional occupation or as an engaged, proactive citizen.

The Certificate in Higher Education in Advocacy has been designed as a springboard for students wishing to enter professions working in diverse fields, for example, Community education, Education, Health and/or social care, the Police services, the Probation Service, Social enterprise, Teaching, Trades Union representation, Voluntary organisations and Youth support.
