Course Description
This course will provide students with a knowledge of the skills required for a career working in a diagnostic or research laboratory. It covers the fundamental aspects of molecular and cellular biology and modern bio-analytical techniques used for studying cells and microbes. In addition, the course includes a study of pathogenic microbes, epidemiology, infection control, laboratory investigation of infectious diseases, vaccination and immunisation. The course also covers legal and ethical issues related to biomedical research. Our specialist staff, who include microbiologists, cellular pathologists, molecular biologists and biochemist work together to provide a better understanding for our students.
