Course Description
COMPARATIVE LITERATURE: - Comparative literature is the study of literature across cultural and national frontiers, time periods, languages and genres, even across the boundaries between literature and the other arts. You can study Comparative Literature alongside a whole range of other subjects and you may want to consider studying it with a foreign language to further expand your horizons. PHILOSOPHY: - Philosophy is the systematic attempt to arrive at clear answers to profound questions about issues such as knowledge, life, morality, science and human nature using reason and argument. We host reading parties for students in the Highlands, and have a flourishing undergraduate Philosophy Society. We are home to the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience.

AAAAA Higher or AAAA Higher+B Advanced Higher (BBBB S5 minimum for consideration) Additional requirements: Higher English and a Higher Humanities subject.
Acceptable in appropriate subject area. Must pass at least two thirds of modules with merit grade.
36 (6,6,5 HL) – 32 (6,5,5 HL) Additional requirements: HL English and HL Humanities subject.

SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve BBBB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than BBBB by the end of S5 MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAA cumulatively by the end of S6.
