Course Description

Our flexible Master’s in Facilities Management by distance learning will help you respond to the needs of different organisations to make the best use of commercial and business property.

This MSc in Facilities Management recognises the broad and diverse nature of the facilities management role and allows you to tailor your studies to your needs and interests. You'll develop a holistic view of the corporate environment and enhance your expertise in key areas. You can also work on transferable skills including telecommunications and IT.

Our Facilities Management course was developed in response to growing industry demand for graduates with a suitable range of skills. The course aims to grow your ability to co-ordinate physical workspace with the people and organisation involved, allowing the efficient and effective use of business-related property.

On this course, you are assessed by coursework. Some modules may also include practice assessments, which help you to monitor progress and make continual improvement. Each year has two formal summative assessments which count towards your final grade. These take place approximately 6 and 12 weeks into term.

Get advice on which foundation courses are best for you to still study Facilities Management, MSc, if you do not meet the minimum requirements in terms of UCAS score, A levels, or English language requirements.

An undergraduate (honours) degree at 2:2, or above, in a Built Environment subject such as, Civil Engineering, Construction, Surveying or Architecture.

Applicants without a degree that have relevant professional experience and membership of an appropriate professional body may be considered.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
